Questionable results
Local officials interpret the gains on an English test
(the CELDT) as evidence that English learners in the
Los Angeles Unified School District are making real
progress. The CELDT was introduced two years ago.
Research shows that when a new standardized test is
introduced, scores are low at first, and then increase
each year as teachers and students become more
familiar with the format and contents. The CELDT is
closely aligned with the California State Standards;
teachers are very aware of what kinds of items will be
on the test. It is not clear if the gains represent
real learning or simply better test preparation.

I heard it's an old expression.
You can see it in some dictionaries, but actually it's not used
at all. You can find it in old literature.
Today the same meaning can be expressed this way:

Spring is here.

Hey! I don't have a sexual abnormality.
It is quite natural for anyone to have a different sexual habit!
In my case, I just enjoy having cute girls see me masterbate!
I don't do anything violent like raping. That sucks!

You don't say it's abnormal, right?

I am sure most of you men here have got prostitutes before.

>>45
u made people shocked with ur eccentrick performance.
i admit u r very exciting and interesting.
but ur illegal entertainment iz possible to make them
feel u r dangerous.
do u enjoy urself even if u violate law?

There are many rules people never follow.
Buying a prostitute is a good example.
Everybody knows that it is illegal to have fuck with them but
all the men do it!

>>48
Is it illegal in Japan?
I must say it depends on which country you live in,
whether prostitution is illegal or not.

Some people tell me that someone who received good education like
me should not do something unacceptable.
I don't really agree with it. Why not doing something I find very entertaining.

violation of law. lol

You can come up with the topic?

So how about food then?

food?
did you often go to yoshinoya in spite of the news on bse?

>>62
Yeah. I, for one, prefer Matuya, though.
What about you?

ive eaten almost no beef since bse was found out in japan.
its a little bit scary to eat beef recently.
since before i often sent to yoshinoya. but never go recently for
fear.

>>64
Buta-don is served now.
I don't like it, though..
It tastes unique and bad to me, especially after I bite
some pork some times.

Anyway, why don't you try it?

i hope japanese givernment decides to start
import of beef again as soon as possible.

>>66
I'll say.

>>65
when it comes to yoshinoya , it means only gyudon.
i dont like yoshinoya with no gyudon.
butadon or toridon is possible to buy even in seven eleven.
i need yoshinoya with safe beef.

i think yoshinoya had the worst business plans,
since every other place that was originally a
gyudon-ya changed their strategies a long time ago.
probably when the first bse news spread through
japan.

What's up?
You are staying up too late, huh?
Now I'm slightly drunken.

yeah, staying up late... actually too late.

>>68
If you don't stick to Yoshinoya,
you can have gyudon.
Matuya serves it now using a stock of beef imported
before the government banned the beef from the states.

I just took a bath.
and I'm eating choco ice and smoking.
I'm off everyday.

Do you have to go your job today, don't you?
Or are you fired?

but i cant trust the president.
because he is still denying the necessity of
checking all beef to put in market.
as far as he is president , im afraid of going to
yoshinoya. he is interested in only business.

>>72
Thanks. I didn't know that Yoshinoya was the only
one that served gyudon. I thought all those places
did like Matsuya and the others, which I have no
idea what their names are at the moment.

>>75
You seem to be so haunted with Yoshinoya.

I understand that a lot of people here like
Yoshinoya but you can certainly live without
it too, right? Or is it really that great?

yoshinoya sounds the most traditional.

>>76
Ah, I'm sorry but I couldn't fully get you..
You want to go to others?
I'm afraid it's only Matuya that serves Gyudon now.

make buta=don at home. its easy!

i dont frequent yoshinoya nor matsuya, but
after seeing the photo of buta=don everywhere
i had a sudden craving for it, so i bought thinly sliced pork (cheap!)
and added onion and mushroom,
seasoned with ginger, soy sauce and sake.
if preferred, hot pepper (taka no tsume) can be added as a tangy spice.

it was reallllly good!!!

You do not know what kind of behaviour is expected in this thread.
I know the history of this. there was a another thread that is the
title is "Chat in English" which expect poster to write in proper
English grammer and spelling. This thread's title "Chatter in English",
is as title different from formar, this thread does not require proper English.
That's why regidence here call the language "engurish".
Before blame someone else, you should respect the rule and history here.

And then I asked her to chat here.

310 :380:04/04/27 06:36
i'll talk if someone starts talking about a topic

311 :380:04/04/27 06:36
>>310 san
her→him

312 :298:04/04/27 06:40
>>310
Alright.
How about writers you like?

313 :298:04/04/27 06:41
>>311
Sorry.:)

314 :380:04/04/27 06:42
I dont read very many books I'm afraid.

Lets talk about movies after your topic.

315 :298:04/04/27 06:47
>>314
Oh, then, move on to movies.
And care if I include TV dramas?

316 :380:04/04/27 06:50
no not at all.

I want to wach kill bill 3.
the most recent film i saw was... mona-lisa smile (julia roberts).

317 :298:04/04/27 06:52
A moment.
I'm off to smoke.

>>316
Kill Bill Vol.3?

Vol.2 was the conclusion and there won't be vol 3 AFAIK.

319 :298:04/04/27 06:59
>>316
julia roberts!
I like her,
though I only watched "pretty woman" and "Notting Hill".

320 :380:04/04/27 07:01
sorry, i meant kill bill 2.
I got it mixed up because I watched kill bill 1 on my computer and the file was split into 2 sections.

notting hill was good.
i recommend mona-lisa smile. it was really good.

I liked her in "Erin Browkovich (sp)".
I love her WWWWWWWWWWWIDE smile.

David Carradine was cool in vol.2.

323 :380:04/04/27 07:04
the real Erin got accused of something recently.
i remember seeing her on the news.
what a shame because julia made her look good in the movie
and in real-life she was a sly person.

324 :298:04/04/27 07:04
I've not watched mona lisa smile yet.
First off, I go to theater one or two times a year, tough.

So is it interesting?

325 :298:04/04/27 07:06
>>321
Seems like so many movie lovers in here.:)

326 :298:04/04/27 07:08
>>322
I'm afraid I don't know of him.
This may be a terrible question, but is he famous?

327 :380:04/04/27 07:10
i dont now him either

Man. He's Bill.
He's famous for his leading role as Kwai Chang Caine in Kung Fu.
Guess we old folks gets to enjoy Kill Bill much more than you youngsters.

329 :298:04/04/27 07:16
By the way, I recorded Notting Hill on video tape.
I watch it sometimes.

330 :298:04/04/27 07:26
>>328
Kwai Chang Caine sounds like he's from China or Taiwan,
while David brings into mind that he's American.

AHHH, I'm confused.

dont be confused its not that important.

>>330
He is a Chinaman. In Kung Fu anyway.
http://www.kungfu-guide.com/

333 :298:04/04/27 07:32
Please let me know it when you want to quit chatting.

334 :298:04/04/27 07:39
>>332
Oh,Thank you, anyway.
He doesn't look like a chinaman, though.

I didn't know the TV drama.
Was that so impressive?

335 :280:04/04/27 07:46
i'm going to quit chatting because i'm depressed

336 :298:04/04/27 07:52
>>335
What?
Did you plan to quit chatting?

Well, sorry, joking.

So why are you so depressed?
(If you don't read this, I'll get depressed, too.)

what the fuck are you doin ?

338 :298:04/04/27 08:02
>>337
Just see barren life passing me by.

339 :280:04/04/27 08:05
i'm depressed because nobody is worth talking to, you know.
Nobody wants to talk about anything that means anything if you know what I mean.
its not you, but i'm just in that sort of mood... seken banashi wa mendo kusai.

340 :298:04/04/27 08:12
>>339
I don't understand what you mean.
You are a little bit offensive.
Don't live in an ivory tower.
Oh, and don't bother to respond,
because you are not worth talking to any more.

341 :380:04/04/27 08:19
you seem to take everything to be offensive
if thats how you wanna take it, thats fine.
but if you'll notice, the tone of my english was in no way aggressive.
i didnt understand what an ivory tower was though.

342 :298:04/04/27 08:33
>>341
If you read sentences like them,
you won't take them irritating?

An ivory tower is zouge no tou in Japanese.
I used the expression
because I want you to wake up and smell the coffee.

You said, "i'm going to quit chatting".
And that sounds to me absolutely depressing..
Don't know why? Then...

Thank you for your patience but I don't stand you any more.
Anyway, I'll be leaving.
Bye.

343 :380:04/04/27 08:36
sorry if i made you crossed.
i didnt mean to.
but bye... have a nice day (i mean it)

>>353
